Day 1: March 4th, 2016
As the riders all meet for the first time, I look around and think to myself, how will I ever learn 37 rider names along with 12 staff members. Then I think, not only will I remember all the names but these people will become my family in the next 52 days and some will become life long friends. The excitement and apprehension is palatable. Tomorrow we will begin our journey.

Day one is done
The mission behind onbikes has always been a simple yet powerful one: “every kid deserves a bike.” When they are tired and want to put off a task until “tomorrow”… when they are short one volunteer and have to pull double-duty during an event… or when they are organizing hundreds of volunteers to assemble hundreds of bicycles…
No matter how difficult the challenge, onbikes is able to return to their “why” and find the energy to push through…why? Because every kid deserves a bike.
But it doesn’t just stop there… onbikes is also branching out into the community by supporting health through wellness and adventure. That’s why onbikes is lending their support to help me cross this incredible adventure off my bucket list. This Spring I will be riding my bike from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL (March 5th – April 25th).
